CINCINNATI -- A group of Tri-State residents said they feel a recent slaying may have been a hate crime, and are asking the community to take a stand.
More than 175 residents have signed on to a full-page ad that will appear in The Enquirer Thursday. They said the ad is meant to memorialize James McGee, a gay man who was attacked at his home and later died of his injuries.
Those behind the ad said his death was a hate crime, though police disagree.
