The title pretty much covers it, but you can see the photographic evidence below to back it up if you want.
Isn't it funny how these pious allegedly moral and ethical people fighting to save the sanctity of marriage suddenly have a problem with reporting and revealing information that is required to be part of the public record. (OnTopMag):
Californians Against Hate founder Fred Karger has contacted campaign ethics officials in Maine and asked for an investigation.

Karger alleges the group Stand for Marriage Maine of illegally shielding the names of individual donors.

"... I believe the four founders of Stand For Marriage Maine are merely conduits for those wishing to hide their contributions," Karger says in an August 24 letter to Jonathan Wayne, executive director of the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Elections Practices.

"These entities are laundering money to evade the disclosure of the actual contributors to Stand for Marriage Maine," he adds.

Stand for Marriage Maine is the single-issue group formed to repeal the Maine Legislature's spring legalization of gay marriage. Maine allows for a "people's veto" of laws. National and local anti-gay groups are behind Stand for Marriage Maine, including the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), the Knights of Columbus and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.

Hmm, all those familiar pious orgs, huh? In the first filing disclosure, the total amount donated by individuals was -- get this -- $400. Out of over $343K reported. Notably, Maggie's NOMskulls are leading the pack in shady reporting.
"Over the last ten months the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) has been sticking its nose in every state where any same-sex marriage activity has been taking place," Fred Karger, founder of Californians Against Hate, told On Top Magazine in an email. "They have an unlimited bank account, and have been spending millions upon millions of dollars around the country with absolutely no accountability. They refuse to abide by election laws and IRS reporting laws to reveal the s ource of their funding."
One Blender's had enough. Mbarber has asked the IRS to investigate NOM (click the above image).

&lgt;Calpernia Addams graciously gave us her permission to crosspost this post regarding travelling while trans. Originally posted in her blog, entitled Calpernia Addams Diary; Nude-Blogging the Apocalypse with Hollywood Sex Kitten Cougar Calpernia Addams!

My only add to this would be that the National Center For Transgender Equality (NCTE) has an excellent reference for trans travel on their website.

Travel Concerns for Transsexual and Transgender People

By Calpernia Addams

Gender transition is a journey, and exploring the world as your new self can be incredibly liberating. As a transwoman who has traveled extensively in this sometimes less-than-understanding society, I've discovered several considerations that can make all the difference in a safe and satisfying experience.

For people in transition, that first trip out the front door to the supermarket can be as harrowing as a jungle safari. Many start by seeking out kindred spirits at popular regional gender conventions and events. Southern Comfort, Esprit, FTM Gender Odyssey, Be All, Colorado Gold Rush and more are some of the more well known annual conventions, and all feature a full schedule of activities, excursions and seminars for a vacation completely immersed in transgender socializing. Whether attending one of these or simply hitting the road to leave the stress of transition behind, preparation is key to avoiding problems later on.

For someone new in transition, many of the simplest obstacles to that dream vacation in Thailand can be avoided by ensuring that your legal identity is up to date. Although most travel providers are somewhat aware of and sensitive to transgender people, you cannot count on this and presenting as one gender while carrying identification indicating another may result in the ticket agent initiating a scene with those dreaded words, "I'm going to have to call my su pervisor." The TSA's new "Secure Flight" program will require all air travel passengers to present ID and state their legal gender, among other information, posing a particularly vexing problem for trans people whose legal identity is not up to date. Ever-increasing security concerns have prompted travel centers around the world to investigate identification discrepancies closely, and with the 2005 passage of the Real ID Act (H.R. 418) and the subsequent controversy, the United States is expected to step up identity monitoring even more with a national ID card within the next three years. A comprehensive listing at www.tsroadmap.com/id contains information on how to change your license, social security information and birth certificate in many states, ates, especially important for passports and international travel. Once your basic identification is updated, credit cards, personal checks and medical insurance should be changed as well.

Getting there may be half the fun, but long plane rides or road trips will limit your ability to perform upkeep taken for granted at home, like facial hair removal, makeup reapplication, or chest binding. For transwomen who wear wigs or hairpieces, a simpler short style well secured and wrapped with a scarf can hold up well through long hours of sleeping and sitting upright in those uncomfortable airplane seats. For transmen who wrap or bind their chests, make sure you get it right before you get on the plane, because the tiny onboard bathroom is no place to try something new. Be aware that a man with a heavily wrapped chest may raise questions as to what he is carrying under his shirt during a pat-down, and for transmen who make packing a part of their daily routine, make sure your equipment is free of metal, clips or pins that might set off the airport detector and raise questions you would rather not answer. Don't out yourself unnecessarily, but be ready with answers should security personnel have questions.

There are a few basic safety procedures that can greatly reduce risk for those with some form of visible gender variance traveling outside safe spaces like GLBT enclaves, large city centers and gender conventions. Going out in groups rather than alone, letting someone know where you plan to go, carrying a cellphone and keeping emergency cab money on hand are all good ideas. If you are attending a convention or planned event, investigate sponsored group outings to local restaurants and shopping venues. Many online forums allow you to connect with trans-folk who live at your destination and who can let you in on all the local hotspots, as well as areas to avoid.

More than anything else, I recommend just getting out there and having fun. Don't let the roadblocks put in place by a short-sighted society keep you from exploring YOUR world. GLBT spaces and gender conventions are a great place to start, but one of the best parts of finally becoming comfortable in your own skin is that no matter where you go, a big smile and a good attitude will always make new friends.

I'm not sure which is more ludicrous -- the endorser or the endorsee. Right-wing fading action hero and Total Gym informercial star Chuck Norris throws his questionable weight behind the disgraced, de-benched Chief Justice of Alabama Roy Moore. The press release is keyboard spew-worthy:
Montgomery, Alabama - August 26, 2009 - Chuck Norris, internationally known martial arts expert, actor, and media personality has endorsed Judge Roy Moore for Governor of Alabama. Norris believes Judge Moore is the strongest, best qualified candidate in the race for Alabama's gubernatorial leader, the person who can best lead the state forward in the difficult times ahead.

Judge Moore and Chuck Norris have much in common in addition to their strong conservative beliefs, including their martial arts skills and their service in our nation's armed forces. Mr. Norris has won numerous martial arts tournaments around the world. As described in Judge Moore's book, So Help Me God. Judge Moore fought professionally as a kick-boxer in both the U.S. and Australia, and is known for his strong leadership as a judge and as an Army company commander in Vietnam.

Judge Moore's campaign is based on his defense of our individual rights, his plan for creating new jobs through the proven economic principles of Supply Side economics ("Reaganomics") which brought our nation and state out of a severe recession in the 1980's-by cutting taxes and reducing the size of government. He also has a strong plan to eliminate waste and corruption in state government. Judge Moore is well known for keeping his promises.

Defense of individual rights, wha?! Moore's law means a two-ton slab of the Big Ten and death to members of the Homosexual Agenda. Oh that's right, we probably don't even register as human to this man, after all, Moore said this:
Moore, best known for installing a washing machine-size Ten Commandments monument in the entrance to the state's judicial building, tacked a 14-page "special concurrence" onto a decision denying a lesbian mother custody of her children. In it, Alabama's highest judicial officer declared homosexuality "abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature." Gay sex, he wrote, is "an act so heinous that it defies one's ability to describe it," an "inherent evil" that "should never be tolerated." And if homo-bamians continued to insist on fornicating? The state might have to use force, Moore wrote, wielding a biblical "power of the sword" to root out this evil once and for all.
