FOLLOWUP: Brett Vanasdlen Guilty of Battery, Hate Crime Charges Dropped

I was wondering why it was taking so long to hear more about this case in the media. Evidently it never hit the media. So I went out to research it a bit and discovered that Brett Vanasdlen was found guilty.

As you will see from the official documents below he apparently agree to a plea bargin. The hate crime charges were dismissed and he pled guilty to "battery".

He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount to be determined at a later date.

He was also ordered to be under a "24 month court supervision", 200 hours of community service, substance abuse treatement for 60 days as well as partner abuse treatment for 60 days.

It would appear, aside from "restitution to be determined" and attorney fees it cost him about $600 in court fees.
