International Gay News Headlines (T24T-3)

Today's general elections in Bangladesh will be the first ever to allow transgender people to cast ballots. A Bangladeshi court ruled that transgender people are fully-fledged citizens and must have the right to vote.

President-elect Barack Obama's senior advisor David Axelrod has spoken in support of the decision invite evangelical preacher Rick Warren to his inauguration. Mr Axelrod is a chief advisor to President-elect Obama. Speaking on NBC, Mr Axelrod defended the controversial decision to include Warren in the ceremony.

A Brighton care home for the elderly has been accused of homophobic exclusion by the local authorities. Pilgrim Homes, a Christian care home which runs 10 projects for elderly people in the UK, is suing the council for religious discrimination.
