The President-elect of the United States has named Nancy Sutley as Chair of his Council on Environmental Quality in the White House.

An exhibition designed to highlight the legal and social discrimination faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-led families has upset an MEP from Cyprus, who claims he is being harassed by the "gay lobby."

Matthew Mitcham has been included on a list of 25 influential gay and lesbian Australians.

From a 20 year-old to an 80 year-old, a diverse group of Australians from across the nation were last night named as the year’s 25 Most Influential Gay and Lesbian Australians at the second annual Same Same 25 awards.
As they say, when one door closes, another door opens. That certainly seems to be the case with the announcement of newly appointed Justice Virginia Margaret Bell as a replacement for Justice Michael Kirby in the High Court.
On December 13 just over 1000 people gathered in the streets of Hong Kong for the first ever public celebration of queer identity in the country.
